With the mission to transform lives through the power of sport, Paralympics Australia came to us in need of a new ‘Virtual Seats’ campaign, building on the success of their Tokyo 2020 campaign.

Meet Speedy
Users explored the stadium via their avatar, Speedy, who could walk, jump and run, as well as throw their hands up in celebration. Speedy could also celebrate, trigger video content and engage with gamified elements throughout the virtual stadium.

Watch, play and experience
Screens throughout the stadium featured exciting Paralympics content. This included athlete profiles, behind-the-scenes footage, daily highlights, a games schedule, a donation tracker and information on Para-sport. Users could also bounce basketballs around, as well as discover a very special Wheelchair Speedy, all on our fun Wheelchair Basketball court.
TELEPORTATION
View your seat or corporate box
Users who had purchased a virtual seat or corporate box could be teleported to a unique view of their purchase and message of support within the virtual stadium.
ACCESSIBILITY
Made for every ability
We created an accessible landing page using a UI framework designed with screen readers in mind. Key features include large and clear text descriptions, a fixed side panel to navigate, colour contrast, video player controls and keyboard navigation. We followed WCAG AA guidelines and tested thoroughly to ensure high accessibility standards.
